NEW PROGRAM FOR FALL 2010!
Associate of Applied Science in Fire and Emergency Services
According to the Louisiana Workforce Commission publication, Opportunities in Law, Public Safety & Security, the occupation of Fire Fighter is one of the fastest growing occupations in the Law, Public Safety & Security cluster. The projected total annual demand for Louisiana is 200, according to their long-term projections. The total annual demand is calculated based on the replacement demand for retirements and job turnover combined with new growth in the field. An A.A.S degree in Fire and Emergency Services will allow students to serve as full-time and volunteer firemen with the necessary academic skills to back up on the job training. For additional information, please use the contact form or visit the Louisiana State University - Eunice CALL website.

Students participating in CALL at LSU Eunice can take a variety of general education and specific courses as part of the two-year degree of Associate of Science in Criminal Justice. The courses and degree will be delivered entirely online.
For professionals in the field of criminal justice, the Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, when united with their experience, can be instrumental in promotion and advancement. For someone starting a career or seeking a new one, this associate degree could be helpful in obtaining employment with city police departments, parish sheriffs’ departments, and state and federal agencies, as well as court systems, district attorneys’ offices, correctional institutions, parole and probation offices, juvenile justice agencies, and private agencies.
A degree in criminal justice can help provide all of the following:
• Service to the community • Personal challenge
• Working with people • A position with a future
• Job security • Interesting work
• Varied opportunities • Secure retirement
Additionally, the associate degree program in criminal justice at LSU Eunice generally parallels the first two years of the bachelor of science degree at most four-year universities. This allows for the possibility of transfer to a four-year institution including our partner in the CALL initiative, McNeese State University.
For additional information on any of these programs, please use the contact form or visit the Louisiana State University Eunice CALL website.
