OVERVIEW

Louisiana State University Eunice (LSU Eunice) is a two-year, comprehensive, open-access, public university serving southwest and central Louisiana. It was established in 1965 as a campus of the Louisiana State University System and is located in the city of Eunice in Acadia Parish in the southwestern area of the state. The University is dedicated to high quality, low-cost education and is committed to academic excellence and the dignity and worth of the individual. It offers a wide choice of programs, including eleven associate degree programs, four certificate programs, and numerous technical programs. Several programs offer access to the workforce in as little as a year through earning a Technical Competency Area credential, Certificate of Technical Studies, or Diploma. The three academic divisions are Health Sciences and Business Technology, Liberal Arts, and Sciences and Mathematics. In addition, the Pathways to Success program provides a structured developmental program to students who lack preparation for college level academics. Through the Continuing Education program, area residents can take workforce enhancement and leisure classes.
