Bachelor of Science in Management
PROGRAM ATTRIBUTES The management program is a 120-hour (40-course) academic program pursuant to the Bachelors degree in Management. Course enrollments are usually small, web-based, and administered over eight weeks. EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK Business graduates, including those earning the bachelor's degree in management are among the highest demand graduates in the nation. Business graduates usually are gainfully employed soon after their graduation and those already employed are more likely to secure promotions with their firms. Additionally, graduates wanting to start and/or manage their own business will have needed skills.
SAMPLE CLASSES The BS in Management includes major required courses such as: • Accounting Principles • Managerial Accounting • Topics in Contemporary Business • Legal Environment • Issues in Global Business • Analytical Tools for Business Decisions • Principles of Microeconomics • Principles of Macroeconomics • Principles of Finance • Management Concepts and Practices • Human Resource Management • Organizational Behavior • Managing the Diverse Workplace • Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility • Operations Management and Quantitative Methods • Business Policy • Marketing Principles OVERVIEW McNeese State University now offers online baccalaureate degrees in Management, Sociology, Sociology with a concentration in Family and Child Studies and Criminal Justice through the Center for Adult Learning in Louisiana (CALL) Program. The CALL Program allows adult learners the opportunity to pursue their degree online without putting their lives on hold. CALL allows adult learners to take advantage of two 8-week sessions within a regular semester. This allows students to earn credits each session during the semester while only having to concentrate on one or two classes at the same time. The online courses allow students to access class information and assignments when and where they chose.
