Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems

The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems provides the graduate with the knowledge and applied technical skills needed to enter computer-related occupations in the job market. All courses are offered in 4-week and 8-week formats and average class size is 35 students.

Future employment in the computer systems design and technical consulting services is expected to rise 34% to 83% by 2018. (Information is taken from Bureau of Labor Statistics)

Students pursuing the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems must earn 60 credit hours by taking classes such as:

Bossier Parish Community College is a two-year community college with approximately 6,500 students enrolled each semester.  Academic programs of study include associate degrees, certificate/technical diplomas, and technical competency areas.  In addition, BPCC provides courses that transfer to four-year degree granting institutions.
