Associate of General Studies PROGRAM ATTRIBUTES Recipients of the Associate of General Studies will have demonstrated: - Comprehension of information by reading college-level material across the curriculum.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written English across the curriculum.
- Proficiency in oral communication skills across the curriculum.
- Ability to comprehend and perform course-specific mathematical problems.
- Development of critical thinking skills across the curriculum.
- Ability to use library resources to research topics across the curriculum.
- Ability to utilize and apply current computer technology across the curriculum.
- Comprehension of basic concepts of art, music, film, theater, literature, foreign language, history, humanities, and/or philosophy.
All courses are offered in 4-week and 8-week formats and average class size is 35 students. EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK The General Studies degree program is an excellent choice for students planning to transfer to a four-year college, updating their skills for job opportunities, looking for a diverse curriculum to broaden their horizons, or still undecided as to what career they would like to pursue.
